ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking to recruit a Restaurant Supervisor to join the team in the very popular fine dining Indian restaurant, Rajinda Pradesh.  This restaurant is open every evening offering a wide range of contemporary, authentic Indian dishes which are made using fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques.

In this role you will assist the Restaurant Manager in effectively controlling, co-ordinating and planning the unit activities in line with Company standards.  You will maintain high levels of guest satisfaction through service and value for money to achieve budgeted financial targets. 

Other responsibilities will include helping to lead, motivate and develop the team.  This is a hands-on management role, where you will play an integral part in the day-to-day running of the operation, including taking orders, serving food and ensuring the team deliver excellent service to every guest. 

Essentially, you will have previous management / supervisory experience within a fast-paced food and beverage environment.  You will be a highly motivated individual, committed to the success of the operation.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4 week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

You will be required to work 8 hour shifts between the hours of 2pm and 11:30pm including weekends and some public / bank holidays on a rota basis.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year’s previous experience of working in a high volume restaurant at a supervisory level
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to coach others to achieve objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with and resolve guest issues
  • The ability to work well under pressure and “think on your feet”

Desirable requirements:

  • Formal hospitality qualification
