Group Operations Manager (Accommodation Services) 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Head Office Operations team in the role of Group Operations Manager (Accommodation Services). In this role, you will be leading the development of the service journey for our guests which will be hugely influential in the future success of the company. 

This is a senior level role requiring a true visionary who can focus on improving performance standards and delivering an enhanced guest experience from our Accommodation & Support Services division. Balancing the demands of overseeing day to day operations and service delivery for each of our six villages, you’ll act as a Center Parcs business specialist who is fully focused on driving performance and supporting change to maintain our market leading status. 

It’s essential that we achieve the highest standards that our guests expect when they walk through the door to their accommodation. Approximately 40% of our workforce, managed by six senior managers and their operational remit, will be your ultimate responsibility. Designing and delivering a central strategy which will comprise of managing capital projects, enhancing and alignment of processes, driving improvement initiatives and communicating best practice, will be your brief. 

As you can imagine, the remit is significant but poses a perfect challenge and opportunity for any proven Operations Manager with extensive experience in a multi-site leisure and/or hospitality business. Commercially astute with strong analytical and financial management ability, your talent for managing demanding large-scale service driven operations should be backed by first class people management skills and a keen eye for spotting opportunities to modernise our structures, processes and systems across this division. 

Whilst this role is based at Head Office, extensive travel will be required to all our village locations, including overnight stays. 


You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4 week period. Normal Head Office working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday however due to the nature of this role, flexibility will be required. 


Essential requirements: 

  • Strong operational/logistical experience in a Senior Management role with a minimum of 5 years working in corporate multi-site management or a large diverse operation
  • Experience of leading a large team in a demanding service driven environment
  • Experience of developing strategic plans and the effective delivery of strategic objectives
  • Ability to present in a clear, logical and persuasive manner to both Board level and Operational Management teams
  • Proven track record of managing, coaching and developing people
  • Commercially astute with strong analytical and financial management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate to people at all levels from team members to Directors
  • Experience in managing change via ‘influence’ for both direct and indirect reporting lines
  • A proven creative approach to developing ideas and interpreting these into strategic plan
