Forest Ranger - Hard Landscaping

Imagine stepping away from the desk and having 400 acres of beautiful forest as your office? The Grounds Services team is responsible for managing and maintaining the forest landscape at each of our villages, including wildlife and biodiversity surveys. Our expert teams are extremely passionate about the natural environment at Center Parcs, which our guests love to see.


Working as part of the Grounds Services department under the guidance of the Senior Rangers, you will maintain the grounds of the village in accordance with the Forestry Management Plan, Company and legislative requirements, having responsibility for your own key task areas.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the execution of all general grounds maintenance tasks
  • Central buildings and lodge path audits
  • Village footpath and cycleway audits
  • Village road audits
  • Repairs to central buildings and lodge paths
  • Repairs to village footpaths and cycle ways
  • Minor repairs to village roads
  • Verge repair works

Please note that this role will involve working outdoors during periods of adverse weather conditions.


You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

You may also be required to participate in the department’s call-out rota as required.


Essential requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous experience within the industry of repair works to hard landscapes (e.g. roads, paths and patios)
  • Proven ability to work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision

Desirable requirements:

  • A recognised landscape qualification
  • Working knowledge of CDM2015 regulations
  • Qualified / have previous experience in the use of agricultural, forestry and horticultural machinery
