Assistant Housekeeping Manager - Linen & Logistics

Our Housekeeping team is responsible for maintaining more than 700 units of accommodation; from apartments and penthouses to Lodges and Treehouses, and for looking after our public areas and office spaces, so no two days are the same. That’s why it’s the largest team on each Village.

We are now recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join our busy Linen and Logistics team. You will assist the Housekeeping management team in the smooth and efficient running of the department, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in line with the department operational standards manual

Responsibilities will include:

  • The organisation, allocation and monitoring of colleagues undertaking the linen delivery operation ensuring that high standards of clean linen are delivered and used linen is collected within set deadlines
  • Supervision of the inventory team, Aqua Sana Laundry team, Lost Property team, BOH Laundry team and Uniform Coordination
  • Assisting with managing budgets and payroll costs to ensure all divisional targets are achieved, without compromising our level of customer care.
  • The effective recruitment and selection of housekeeping colleagues and the coordination and evaluation of training needs within the division.
  • The general welfare, motivation and development of direct reports, including the monitoring of standards in line with company policy.


You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts will fall between 8:30am - 10:30pm.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.


Essential requirements:

  • Experience of leading a large team in a service driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills with an organised and methodical approach
  • Strong motivational skills, able to support, develop and challenge a team
  • Able to plan, prioritise and organise workloads to set timescales
  • Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience of budgeting and financial control
  • Possess a management or cleaning qualification or be willing to develop to this level
