About the role

We are looking for a number of highly creative and passionate Painting and Drawing Tutors for the 2D studies programme area within the School of Visuals Arts. We have a number of short courses requiring tutors across the areas of Drawing, Painting, Life and Portraiture, Mixed-Media / Collage.

We are looking for practising artists who can teach any of the above subjects in both traditional and contemporary contexts.

To be considered, please submit your CV and a covering letter, detailing your skills and experience. The ideal candidate will have:

  • BA Hons / MA or similar equivalent qualification in an Art and Design subject.
  • An active art and design practice or alternative relevant, professional experience.
  • Up to date knowledge of current and contemporary design practices.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to demonstrate this through both practical and theoretical contexts (historical and contemporary)
  • Experience in working in adult education, FE or HE in academic delivery or development.
