Cabin Fitter

JOB SUMMARY

This role is part of the Engineering and Vessel Appearance Team working permanent nightshift to ensure the standards within our cabins are of the highest for our customers and crew.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Current clean driving licence (C1)
  • Experience in carrying out interior repairs to include, fabric, wood, metal, carpet, vinyl.
  • Basic plumbing understanding.
  • Experience in using power tools.
  • Window replacement.
  • Experience working on or around vessels desirable.
  • Experience of updating electronic systems to record work accomplished for compliance/regulatory reasons.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Rectifying defects raised and reported in our compliance/regulatory system to ensure our cabins have the highest standards for safety and appearance.
  • Completing inspections of cabin areas on vessels, recording defects and rectifying.
  • Ensuring all work completed is recorded in our compliance system.
  • Ensure all material/spares requirements are ordered in a timely manner using system in place.
  • Complete safety walk rounds and ensure workshop is kept clean and tidy.
  • Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable request as requested by the HOD and any member of the senior management team.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

 

This role is based at Trinity Buoy Wharf (TBW). Occasional travel to dry dock (Tilbury) and occasional travel to key suppliers may be required.
