Your Role

Pool Support

To ensure the safety of residents and staff in and around the pool area, preventing and responding to emergencies.  To support the residents with Physio in accordance with agreed physio program.

Pool Responsibilities

• Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times. 

• Remain vigilant at all times, and undertake life guarding duties to ensure pool users are fully protected in accordance with Cream’s Hydrotherapy policy, National Pool Lifeguard qualification standards and health and safety legislation. 

• Clean internal and external areas and control facilities (including changing rooms and toilets) to ensure safe use by all who use the hydrotherapy pool.
•  Assist with swimming pool testing procedures to ensure a clean and safe swimming environment for all pool users.
•  Ensure any irregularities with Temperature and or chemicals in the pool are reported to the Maintenance Manager. 
• Attend training courses to enhance your skills: 

   

Care

To support the residents living in the home, helping to ensure that their person centered plan is fulfilled. You will be responsive to the individual needs and aspirations of the residents, at all times using a gentle, non-confrontational, model of care, liaising with relatives, friends and professionals. 

You will adhere to high standards of care practice maintaining the provision and promotion of a safe, supporting and nurturing environment.

 You will support the home, ensuring that the aims and objectives of the organisation are met, in line with the homes and legislative policies and procedures.

 You will take a proactive stance in personal development working to achieve care qualifications, whilst furthering your knowledge and enhancing your skills, in line with organisational requirements and essential standards 

        Essential

•  National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent

  Desirable

•   -  STA Pool plant room Operators qualification.
