We’re looking for a confident and creative Head of Marketing to join the commercial team in our independent Family of Hotels. Generating sustainable online and offline revenue growth across our 7 unique properties is what it’s all about. Our commercial function is a “shared service” to support all our properties – each having a strong individual identity, a diverse multi-channel customer/sales mix plus being at different stages of the business cycle.
You’ll be able to show that you’re results driven and have identified and put to work strategies for growing revenue streams, maximising commercial opportunity, nurturing customer expectations and anticipating/adapting to fast changing trends and growing the audience.
Whilst you'll be a seasoned all-rounder and have a great understanding of how all the pieces fit together, it’s your digital knowledge that will be number one. Creative skills will come a close second alongside being comfortable with the relevance, ownership and opportunities of brand in an independent business.
Running a shared service means you’ll already have a demonstrable collaborative approach supported by influencing and communication skills and be familiar to working alongside senior stakeholders from different disciplines from General Managers to the CEO. You’ll have a natural passion and curiosity for “the products” and desire to be part-and-parcel of how these are developed to have an ever-stronger customer appeal. All something you’ll be able show us you’ve done similarly elsewhere – most likely in a business partnering, head office or other relevant setup.
With a marketing budget of just under £1M plus sales and affiliate commissions, we have our own in house digital, content, graphic design and marketing team, so there’ll be lots of people looking to you for inspiration, leadership and individual/team development. So, we’re looking for that management experience as well as proven success in the nitty-gritty of delivering multiple simultaneous projects. Also in the mix are vital relationships with external partners/agencies who need both direction and an intuitive understanding from you of opportunity, seasonality and our diverse customer mix. And, of course, you’ll be at home representing the Company when you engage with existing or potential customers and agencies.
You’ll thrive on fast pace and managing shifting incoming priorities, underpinned by an ability to create and communicate strategic plans and stick with the big goals. We’ll be expecting an entrepreneurial “can do” attitude that’ll also mean you’ll comfortably work collaboratively with other senior members of the commercial team who lead on sales and revenue management in the business.

Reporting direct to the MD it’s a unique Head of Marketing role where you’ll have direct input right across the business.
You'll work from a modern open-plan office in Crieff with frequent travel to our other sites.
