Derby College Group (DCG) is recruiting a new Inclusion Job Coach to join our Student Experience and Pastoral Support team based at our beautiful Broomfield Hall Campus.  DCG supports c13,000 students studying full-time, part-time or via distance learning on a wide range of programmes including academic, vocational, apprenticeships and higher education.  The student is at the heart of everything we do, and we pride ourselves on providing an excellent level of support throughout their journey at DCG.

The Opportunity

The role of an Inclusion Job Coach is to ensure that DCG students are ready for the world of work.  This involves working with teachers to establish and review progression routes for students into work experience or supported internships.  You’ll be coaching and mentoring students and employing person-centred strategies to support them in gaining and securing a work experience placement or Supported Internship.

About you

To excel within this role, you’ll have great interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organised and have good attention to detail.  You’ll also have knowledge of data Protection and GDPR compliance and have your NVQ Level 3 in Advice and Guidance or be willing to work towards this with full support from us.
