Group Finance Director

 

We are looking for a new Group Finance Director for England Netball and Netball Super League (NSL), who will lead the Finance & Risk functions across the group.  This is a great opportunity to lead the group finance function at the beginning of the NSL journey. Reporting to the CEO

  The key requirements of the role are:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership - To develop and lead the group financial strategy for both England Netball and its subsidiaries, including the new Netball Super League (NSL) entity that was set up in 2024 to operate the league from 2025. Ensure financial resources are appropriately allocated to support key initiatives. Work with non-executive boards and the senior team to manage risk.
  • Financial Management, Reporting and Compliance – To oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts for EN and NSL that align with strategic priorities. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance, to include leading the annual audit process. Manage cash flow and liquidity. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and maintain strong working relationships with external funding bodies, including Sport England.
  • Risk Management and Internal Control – Identify and manage organisational and financial risks, including, ensure appropriate financial risk management strategies and internal controls are in place that underpin an effective, efficient and robust control environment.
  • Leadership - Lead and manage the Finance Directorate, including administration and systems; managing and developing the team, resources, processes and working practices in line with the strategic plans. As a member of the Executive Team (ET) play an active role in the strategic leadership of the organisation, the development of the sport and the building of positive relations with Non-Executive Directors and the key stakeholders of England Netball and Netball Super League.
