We’re looking for a highly skilled team player to create top quality, exciting and engaging content across our range of channels.

No two days are the same in our busy team - as well as playing a central role in promoting ECL services you will be helping us deliver the information our staff need to do their jobs well.

You’ll need to be comfortable talking to people and gathering stories of the fantastic work we do. You must also have good attention to detail, and an ability to deliver in a challenging and fast-paced communications environment - multi-tasking and managing projects.

Role Responsibilities

  • To lead on the delivery of ECL’s media, including building relationships with local and national media, drafting and distribution of press releases to appropriate and targeted members of the media
  • Sourcing stories to highlight the work of the ECL
  • To lead on internal and external newsletters; sourcing and drafting engaging articles within given time frames
  • Writing and submitting award nominations

Key requirements

  • Exceptional copywriting skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working within a communications or marketing team (agency or in-house)
  • Experience of writing press release and managing media relationships.
  • Experience of reporting and analysis of PR and marketing activity
  • Experience in digital communications, including electronic/web publishing, content, and social media management
