Sensory Communicator Guide - South West Essex 

Salary: £10.50 - £15 per hour depending on experience
Hours: Part-time - 10 – 25 hours per week
Shifts: Various hours, primarily Monday – Friday
Location: Travel required across South West Essex including Brentwood and Basildon

What you’ll be doing as a Communicator Guide:

  • Working with people who have sight, hearing or dual sensory impairments out in the community.
  • Supporting people to maintain independence and improve quality of life.
  • Assisting with activities such as shopping, finance, or correspondence, accessing sports and leisure facilities or attending health appointments.

To be considered, you need:

  • A full driving licence and access to a car to travel and transport customers.
  • To be able to work on your own initiative out in the community as well as be able to fit in as part of an expanding team.
  • Enjoy working with people and are keen to enable independence.

Experience of working within a care role is desirable.

British Sign Language (BSL) skills and/or qualifications would be advantageous to your application. BSL and non-BSL roles available.
