Marketing Assistant


The Marketing Assistant will help to plan, co-ordinate and execute strategic marketing activities within the Technology/EOS and Facilities Supplies categories. The candidate will develop and implement specific supplier marketing plans, working closely with the sales and merchandising teams. The overall goals of the VOW Product Marketing team are to plan and action marketing activity, managing supplier ROI expectations and increasing spend within growth categories.

Summary of Role Responsibilities:

  • Development and execution of strategic supplier marketing plans, ensuring the marketing budget is adhered to at all times
  • Working to strict deadlines and adhering to critical paths
  • Detailed analysis of all marketing activities, to review the success of campaigns both internally and for suppliers, in order to make recommendations for future activities
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Arranging and executing focus days on the VOW sales floor, driving sales and meeting objectives
  • Planning and implementation of end-to-end marketing campaigns, including briefing artwork to both studio and ecommerce teams with relevant content
  • Maintenance and improvement of the VOW marketing toolkit and rate card
  • Support at industry events, including support with setup on the day and securing funding
  • Assist with management of the marketing inbox, regularly responding to customer queries 





  • Possess a 2:1 or above marketing degree or CIM qualification
  • Experience of working in a similar role and/or a role where communication is key
  • Experience of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe applications
  • Experience of using a CRM system
  • Comfortable creating and maintaining databases as well as analysing data 


  • Good knowledge of all aspects of the marketing mix
  • Understanding of B2B marketing as well as B2C marketing
  • Basic understanding of the UK business supplies market
  • A track record of delivering projects on time and multi-tasking several projects at once



  • Full UK driving license
  • Outgoing individual comfortable standing up and managing focus days on a busy sales floor
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work well and develop relationships with people at all levels
  • Ability to be both flexible and adaptable as the role dictates
