Where and when do we need you?

Fair Ways have several Services providing care for Children, Young People and Families. These include Residential Homes, Family Services, Young Adults Mental Health Homes, Schools & education, outreach and supported living for post 16. Fair Ways are seeking multi site relief Support Workers to provide cover across our services when they need it most.

This individual will work across multiple sites providing support to our services when they need it most. As part of our team, you will deliver the highest standards of care, protection and support to Children and Young People by facilitating their physical and psychological development.

As a Multi-Site relief Support Worker, you will be involved in exciting and rewarding things like:

  • Contributing towards the maintenance of a positive, safe and homely environment, including the promotion of a warm and accepting atmosphere, where the safety and care of young people is paramount.
  • Supporting the Team at the Service to ensure proper and appropriate nurturing for all young people with particular attention to the provision of primary care in matters of food, health, clothing and environment.
  • Supporting day to day parenting responsibilities, undertaking daily household responsibilities such as domestic chores, cooking, shopping, taking young people to appointments/meetings, planning out the day and participation in activities with the young people and supporting in homework.
  • Completing daily tasks consistent with the smooth running of the service, such as handover, case recording and updating care plans, risk assessments, ensuring all information is recorded appropriately and accurately.
  • Being a positive role model for young people and enabling them to advocate for themselves whilst ensuring you are reliable, enthusiastic, creative and honest.

This role is offered on a zero hour’s contract. As a bank staff member, you are able to select (from the available shifts) hours that work around your schedule. Shifts can cover days, evenings and weekends and potential sleep in’s with substantial shift enhancements offered. 

All candidates must have a full driving license and have access to the use of a car. Successful candidates will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure (DBS). This disclosure cost will be met by Fair Ways.

  • You will need to hold or be willing to be supported to work towards a level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.
