Where and when do we need you?
We are seeking a Maths Teacher at our Transition centre based in Wallington. Specialising in both social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties and autism (ASC), at Fair Ways School, our primary focus is for staff to support students in their transitional period either to full-time education or towards a working career. This is achieved in collaboration with their Education Health Plan (EHP).


As a Teacher at our School you will be involved exciting and rewarding things like:

  • Delivering lessons across the curriculum (specialising in English) and supporting the needs of the school on a day to day basis.
  • Teaching pupils on a 1:1 basis with some small group work delivering lessons for a variety of attainment levels from entry level to GCSE / Functional Skills.
  • Planning schemes of work and carry out assessments to evidence pupil progress over time.
  • Monitoring the welfare of pupils and adhere to all safeguarding procedures promoted by the school.

This role is offered on 37.5 hours a week Term Time only basis. All candidates must have a full driving license and have access to the use of a car. Successful candidates will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure (DBS). This disclosure cost will be met by Fair Ways.You and your specialisms

Teaching roles within our frontline services help achieve our mission of making a difference through passionate care, support, and education. To support this, you will be required to have, or be working towards a minimum of the following qualification levels:

  • To hold, QTS / QTLS or equivalent teaching qualifications and be able to demonstrate the relevant experience in teaching.
  • Have experience of working and supporting children with Autism and associated needs or have a good level of transferable skills from another sector.
