Where and when do we need you?

We have an exciting opportunity for a fantastic candidate to join our HR team as a HR Administrator. You will provide administrative support to the HR Business Partnering team in order to contribute to the successful delivery of a high level of service to the wider HR function and organisation. Applicants will be positive and proactive in their approach to work and have a flexible and adaptable outlook to managing changing priorities.

As Fair Ways HR administrator, you will be involved in exciting and interesting things like:

  • Confidently working with a variety of stakeholders- Providing efficient, professional and accurate responses to general HR queries from staff, managers and external customers by managing the HR general email inbox - ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Demonstrating a high level of accuracy and attention to detail – Accurately preparing letters, contracts, and correspondence for new starters, leavers, and existing employees regarding changes to terms and conditions. The job holder will also be responsible for updating and maintaining the HR database to ensure accurate employee records.
  • Utilising your competent Microsoft 365 knowledge -Supporting the HR Business partnering team to provide managers with up-to-date compliance and people metrics by compiling data and reports periodically.
  • Using your fantastic organisational and time management skills- Collaborating with the wider HR team to provide information and complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Playing your PART –working as part of a fantastic HR team working towards common goals with the interests of the children and young people we support at the very heart of everything we do.

This is a permanent contract, working 22.5 hours per week. Hours can be worked flexibly across the week but must include some time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You will be hybrid working between home and our modern and attractive central support office in Cosham, Hampshire. Fair Ways are unable to provide VISA sponsorship for this role and all applicants will need to be able to provide evidence of right to work in the UK. Successful candidates will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure (DBS). This disclosure cost will be met by Fair Ways.

You and your specialisms

Our internal community is core to achieving our mission of making a difference through passionate care, support, and education. To support you in your role you will be required to have the following skills and experience.

  • Experience of software systems and Microsoft/365 word and excel
  • Previous experience of working in a HR Assistant or Coordinator role would be preferable but would also consider applications from candidates with other relevant experience.
