The Role

This role reports to the Group Commercial Finance Director, but is the primary business partner to the Managing Director of the APAC territory. As part of a global finance team the Finance Business Partner role will be responsible for providing commercial finance support to the businesses in the region. The role holder is expected to become an invaluable partner to the APAC senior management team and be their operational contact for all matters concerning financial performance and planning to help the businesses understand their key drivers and to influence positive change.

You'll also:

  • Partner directly with the Managing Director APAC.
  • Supporting, advising and influencing stakeholders on their financial performance.
  • Be responsible for the production and delivery of detailed financial reporting
  • Drive the budget setting, weekly and rolling forecasting, and long-term business planning for your businesses.
  • Running deal desks within the region, including but not limited to; renewals, new business requests and incentive design.
  • Creating and maintaining complex business cases and financial models.
  • Offering transparent strategic insight through analysis.
  • Influencing at a senior level on strategic direction, aiding commercial decisions and driving profitability.
  • Provide financial appraisal of projects, operational spend and headcount changes, challenging these areas to ensure value is being maximised and that they all contribute to achieving the overall goals of the business.
  • Working in unison with the wider business partnering team to constantly look at ways to enhance business intelligence, reporting, forecasting and planning.
  • Contribute to the management of the wider Asia Pacific Finance team offering input to the strategy of the team.

To help you be successful, we're looking for:

  • Experience of working in a software business.
  • Strong forecasting, financial planning and analytical skills capability and experience.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen, with the ability to work at both a strategic and operational level.
  • Ability to create and maintaining complex business cases and financial models.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and at pace, dedicated to delivering outstanding results
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech, rapidly growing and exciting environment
  • Attention to detail and a strong understanding of financial control.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability and confidence to influence and provide challenge to the business, driving change where required.
  • Excellent communicator, capable of delivering concise and compelling messages to senior audiences effectively through the chosen business language of English.
  • Confident and self-motivated with a flexible approach to work.
  • This role is best suited to candidates who have worked for a complex company in a commercially oriented environment.
