GBG Compliance and Fraud Solutions (CAFS) team provides practical decision support solutions. Our solutions address our clients' business objectives in the areas of risk prevention, fraud detection & prevention and compliance, and customer management. We are focused on providing quality customer service, and creating solutions that generate profitability, prevent losses, improve operational efficiency, and streamline the customer journey.


The Role

As a Pre-sales Consultant you will be an industry expert in the fraud, risk and compliance domain.  You will be called on to help guide product strategy, evangelise new solution opportunities with clients and prospects and provide guidance and content for product marketing. You will work in conjunction with the business development team in APAC, at different stages of the sales cycle, to assist the business development team to close deals. This role involves working directly with the business development team, clients, product and development teams, in addition to a variety of other internal teams. Spending time with your colleagues in the various markets we operate in will be an expectation of this role.


What you will do

  • Be a Subject Matter Expert in the fraud risk and/or AML/CTF compliance domain
  • Become a functional and technical expert on all GBG AML Compliance and Fraud prevention products
  • Have the ability to conduct detailed demonstrations of the various GBG products
  • Work with the business development team to complete RFI’s and RFP’s
  • Attend meetings with members of the business development team as and when required
  • Providing pre-sales and technical support to the Business Development team
  • Understand complex customer requirements to be able to propose best solutions for the customers using complete GBG product suite
  • Execution of POC (Proof of Concept) sessions and documentation of POC results
  • Product strategy – provide guidance for product roadmap
  • Solution benchmarking – gain understanding of GBG position in the marketplace in comparison with its competitors to be able to accurately highlight our strengths and areas where development may be required


To enable you to be successful, we are looking for


  • Experience in a similar pre-sales consulting role / or technical role where there was a lot of client engagement
  • Demonstrated comprehensive functional knowledge of financial crime solutions on the marketplace
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Technologies and solutions
  • Basic understanding of SQL and enough technical knowledge to be able to run solution design workshops, configure demo’s and understand product development principles
  • Experience in compliance and fraud risk management an advantage


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve set objectives
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at a C level
  • Good oral and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to travel is a must
