The Team...

Identity Verification Sales delivers the largest contribution of revenue to the GBG group. As such the success of the business unit and the individuals within is vital to the success of GBG. The right individual will work to secure and expand the lines of business sold into new and existing GBG customers. The right individual will work to secure, develop and grow revenue to achieve our VOS2020.

 

The Role…

Working closely with the New Business Sales Manager to ensure the generation and growth of sales revenue in Europe. To identify, qualify, sell and close profitable global business (non UK) contracts in accordance with commercial targets and objectives.

 

What you will do…

  • Grow GBG's overall Revenue and Margin
  • Identify your key markets and prospect universe
  • Qualify, sell new business in defined territory
  • Work with telemarketing to assist in building campaigns
  • Articulate the value and business benefits of the complete range of GBG products and services
  • Personally concentrate on larger opportunities and provide direction and sales engagement support
  • Engage with clients at both strategic and operational levels and be the demonstrable lead person for all client engagements
  • Working closely with all GBG internal stakeholders to ensure client and sector challenges are built into our Product Roadmap
  • Recruit, develop and lead an engaged team, who are clear on their contribution, by ensuring everyone has an up to date role description and Individual VOS
  • Fully engages with GBG’s talent attraction process and strives to always hire the best and most engaged Team Members for their Team
  • Hold regular 1:1’s and team meetings are in place; appropriate feedback, coaching, support and direction against development set out in a Development Plan is given
  • Champions a culture of engagement through Q12 based communications and action planning

  • To understand that the importance of achieving the Sales target is vital to the success of the business, and that this is the main priority
  • Operate proactively at a senior level within accounts in support of business opportunities and provide maximum exposure and credibility in exploiting the opportunities identified
  • To ensure that all Sales are profitable and meet the Group’s profitability expectations
  • Build strong working relationships with the Company’s consultancy and delivery resource to ensure effective and profitable use is made of the products and services being proposed and sold
  • Effective management of your opportunity Pipeline, ensuring that it is at all times, accurate and balanced. Ensure the Pipeline is used for opportunity tracking, Gap Planning and Target achievement and accurate forecasting
  • Keep customer information accurate, comprehensive and up to date on all internal systems
  • Demonstrate Commercial Awareness through the effective use of the Clients Published financial information; ensure that proposed value propositions and ROI proposals meet the clients stated policies
  • Awareness of the business software solutions marketplace, customer relationship management solutions, customer analytics and strengths and weaknesses of significant competitors
  • Strong understanding of identity and age verification marketplace and best practice guidelines
  • Ability to demonstrate a successful record of achievements of allocated sales targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and liaison skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills aligned with the necessary confidence and business awareness to be a persuasive influence within the nominated clients
  • Flexibility with reference to working hours and travel requirements (globally)
