The Role

IDology is looking for a strategic and experienced Content Marketing Manager to increase web traffic, brand awareness and drive leads through the creation, delivery and orchestration of “shareable” content, distributing content on the right platforms and measuring results.  This person will have an audience-first mindset to create, develop and deliver high impact, compelling assets to drive prospect engagement, brand awareness and demand generation. You’ll be a talented and creative storyteller, targeting key customer audiences with effective strategies delivered through long and short form content that pulls together data, industry insights, internal expertise and IDology’s brand messaging and positioning.

The role will be responsible for developing tailored vertical content strategies and assets in such verticals as financial services, healthcare, insurance and government. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and will collaborate with team members to administer, manage and optimize digital assets that support the buyer journey. You will be successful in this role if you can ideate, cultivate and produce content that drives buyer engagement through the funnel and influences decision making consistent with marketing objectives. What you’ll do:

Lead content strategy, leveraging data, research, personas and editorial prowess to plan, curate and produce assets formatted for how prospects, customers and other stakeholders absorb market and product information  

Create and manage an effective content marketing program to drive brand affinity, market engagement, conversion, thought leadership and desired actions within target verticals.

Build and optimize content strategy across the product life cycle. This includes audits, buyer journey mapping, gap analysis and qualitative/quantitative review of content library

  • Responsible for brand voice consistency and quality assurance
  • Consume and evolve assets such as industry reports, surveys and studies

Coordinate with internal and external resources to maintain a comprehensive, cross-channel editorial calendar for key themes, campaigns, content production and promotional activities

Liaise between marketing and subject matter experts (SMEs) across the organization to gather insights to inform and direct campaigns and programs

Collaborate with internal and external resources on content publication and the adoption of best practices, operational excellence and guidelines related to:

  • SEM / SEO
  • Website
  • User experience (UX)
  • Social media
  • Blog
  • Conversion rate optimization
  • Gating strategies

Monitor, measure and report on content performance against goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website visits, social media engagement, downloads and lead generation

Consult with Demand Generation on content strategy to fuel lead generation and lead nurture initiatives

Handle multiple projects simultaneously in various stages of development

Stay on top of content marketing trends and bring new ideas for exploration and testing

  • Serve as a steward of best practices in messaging, grammar, writing and style/tone

To help you be successful, we’re looking for:

  • Experience in content development role
  • Exceptional writing/proofreading skills
    • Writing samples required
  • Experience crafting messages for multiple audiences across a variety of mediums and channels
  • BA in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related disciplines
  • Experience leading both strategic development and tactical execution of content-related projects
  • Strong project management skills and proven experience working with internal and external teams to optimize and execute projects on time
  • Ability to measure, track, analyze, and regularly report on the performance of digital marketing assets and campaigns.
    • Proficiency with marketing automation and data analytics tools (e.g. Pardot, Tableau, Google Analytics, Domo, QlikSense)
  • A strong understanding of demand generation with experience developing creative and content for broad campaigns and targeted account based marketing (ABM) campaigns preferred
  • Curious, deep thinkers who are not afraid to ask questions and bring new, innovative ideas to the table
