Head of Channel and Partnerships

This is a new role operating across the group, to implement a Channel and Partnership programme to develop and build business opportunities across all GBG products and solutions.

The Role (Vision)

The Head of channel and partnerships will be accountable initially for identifying new partners and channels that have the potential to make a significant contribution to both the group’s overall revenue and enhance the groups brand into markets previously unreachable. This role will directly assist our groups GTM strategy (go to market) and will also influence the long-term data and technology strategy.

What you’ll do (Objectives)

  • Understand how and what we do fits into the partners value proposition and ensure the partner sell is easy and hassle free
  • The partner can communicate value to sales people and end customers in a “sell through” model
  • Make sure any technical support is seamless and covered within the commercial proposition

Develop the channel programme, that:

  • Makes it easier for existing partners to exploit our capability
  • Meet the revenue growth plans directional and directly, exceeding current trajectory
  • Revenue growth should be planned to not dilute current margins
  • Winning new partners is key as is developing the existing ones
  • Work with the commercial and legal teams to formalise a customer onboarding process that ensures GBG is an easy company to do business with
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasting in line with the groups approach to revenue recognition

How you’ll deliver it (Strategies)

  • These will be determined by you, in collaboration with your manager, and you’ll update them regularly to keep your contribution relevant as we evolve. You’ll do this via your Personal VOS.

To help you be successful, we’re looking for

  • Experience of delivering a channel partner strategy
  • Experience of working with partners to expand their offering that complements their solutions in a B2B2C market place
  • Able to evidence and identify partners that have established sales, marketing and distribution channels, without compromising risk or brand
  • A strong understanding and relevant experience of building partnership and channel programs from the ground up
  • Experience of partner marketing support, portal development and training
  • Experience of setting up and driving campaigns with and through channel partners
  • Has built with marketing partner landing pages and can evidence the use of working with technology teams to deliver a self-service model
  • Commercially astute at recognising opportunities that enhance the groups brand balanced with a view to understanding the clients own go to market strategy
  • Ability to understand and present complex solutions into a simple, value partner channel proposition
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Evidence of working and contributing as part of a dynamic creative group
