We are currently seeking to recruit an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor (depending on experience) to join our Corporate Team in Cardiff. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for you to grow and develop your career within a top-ranking corporate team.
As recently publicised, our expanding team of Corporate lawyers have a “strong reputation in the marketplace for savvy commercial understanding of corporate transactions”. You will be filling a key role in an expanding team, reporting directly to two partners and with potential for quick career progression.
The team is regularly instructed on high profile domestic and international M&A, corporate finance and private equity transactions, as well as being involved in more general corporate work. They take a pragmatic, commercial approach to each transaction and encourage all team members to contribute.
Your role will be primarily based in our new Cardiff office, although you will be part of a team who already work in line with the Firms agile working policy. You will be expected to undertake a variety of M&A, private equity, corporate finance and general corporate work. You will be able to manage your own workload and deals, as well as working with other team members on larger transactions.
With experience in areas including M&A and private equity transactions as well as equity investments and general corporate law the ideal candidate will have 4+ years’ PQE, or equivalent with CILEx qualification, within a corporate team.
You will be someone who thrives under pressure with excellent drafting, negotiating and inter-personal skills and a high attention to detail. You will need to work well as part of a team managing a number of high-profile transactions, but also be adept at managing and prioritising your own matters and workload. You will be encouraged to use your own initiative, and also know when to seek support from senior members of the team.
You will supervise and train junior fee earners within the team as well as having the opportunity to participate in marketing, networking and business development events. You will be supported by the partners in the team to grow and develop your career and business contacts.
