About the post

Are you a strong, creative communicator with excellent writing skills?

We need an experienced Communications and Marketing Officer to join our busy Communications team. First and foremost, you’ll need to be a keen storyteller and strong news and feature writer as you’ll lead on our print and digital communications. You’ll produce compelling and informative content that engages our tenants and supports the creation and distribution of marketing emails for tenant events, as well as training courses and consultancy services provided by our in-house access experts, the Centre for Accessible Environments.

You’ll be running our Facebook page so a flair for social media and captivating short form content is necessary. You‘ll need to have good experience using Canva, Photoshop, InDesign and Mailchimp (or similar) to produce dynamic visual assets, newsletters, and standalone marketing emails. Experience of all the above, should be evident on your CV.

This role will involve website maintenance (so experience with a CMS is needed) and content planning. It will involve briefing external service providers, such as photographers, videographers, designers and printers therefore you’ll need to be a confident project manager who is organised, able to handle competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

We need someone who is just as self-assured going out and about to gather stories from our tenants as they would be speaking with tenants on the phone. You’ll be based from home, but will need to be free to travel as part of the role two to four times a month. You’ll also be comfortable working with a variety of colleagues across the business to source information for communications and marketing content. A full job description can be requested by emailing recruitment@habinteg.org.uk.

To apply, submit your CV, a one-page cover letter and 1-2 examples of a news story or feature you have written. The cover letter should outline how you meet the key requirements of the role. Attach this single document with your application.
