About the Role

 

  • To provide a high-quality Sports Physiotherapy / Therapy Service to assigned sports academy groups, in liaison with the Clinical Lead and Head of Medical Services.
  • Deliver a first-class therapy service to all athletes, taking an athlete centered approach that empowers them to take responsibility for their pre-habilitation, rehabilitation and return to performance challenges.
  • Lead and mange an individual caseload of athletes effectively and efficiently.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care both within a multidisciplinary framework and with external stakeholders.
  • To pursue development strategies that improve the process of leading & directing young athletes. This will include leading on player education strategies.
  • To liaise with and attend meetings with other members to perform duties that aid the services organisational development.
  • Development, implementation and management of best evidence based practice.

 

About You

 

  • You will hold a degree in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy or Sports Rehabilitation, or a related field and hold relevant governing body memberships and insurance.
  • Maintain high professional standards in-line with governing bodies.
  • Have a flexible approach to the working hours of the week including early morning, evenings and weekends.
  • Able to demonstrate energy, enthusiasm, proactivity, reliability and accountability with a challenging and demanding schedule and caseload.
  • Have the ability to educate, advise and motivate individuals.
