About the Role
- To join a busy and well-established wellbeing department providing short-term counselling to residential students from both Further and Higher education sectors.
- Liaise where necessary with the Assistant Head of Health and Safeguarding Leads in supporting the students.
- To contribute to staff training and development and work collaboratively with other student support and academic departments on campus and external services.
- To carry out administrative activities relating to the post and engage in the ongoing development, review and evaluation of the Hartpury College and University Counselling provision.
- To provide a minimum of 15 student contact hours per week
- Be flexible in providing counselling to students, during the day or evening, ensuring counselling sessions have minimal impact on the students’ academic studies.
- This is a student facing role, which is carried out on Hartpury campus in a confidential space.
About You
- You should hold a professional qualification in either counselling or psychotherapy, have some post qualification experience and an understanding of current issues that affect students and young people.
- You should have BACP accreditation or UKCP registration, or equivalent.
- You will have experience within an educational institution setting and experience of Crisis Management
