About the Role

To work closely with FE curriculum managers to develop and provide careers & guidance education to assist College students make realistic choices about their education, training and work.  In line with the National Careers Strategy, The White Paper, Skills Agenda, Gatsby Benchmarks and PAL, the post-holder will collaborate with academic teaching staff, industry and specialist agencies to ensure benchmarks are met and students are given the tools and confidence to make informed choices for their future study or employment.

              

About You

  • You will be passionate about people and supporting students’ career pathway, and most importantly you will be passionate about the impact quality careers advice and guidance can have on career outcomes.
  • You will have experience or insight into careers activities & resources to support the needs of the student cohort, national careers strategy and strategic organisational aims.
  • You will have knowledge of or be capable of quickly learning about relevant career opportunities and labour market information to inform advice and guidance.
  • You will have a commitment to continuing personal and professional development, through training, project work, research, and active involvement in the CMI & other careers forums.
  • You will be confident representing and promoting the careers service at internal and external meetings, marketing events and conferences.
