About the Role

  • Due to the growth in student numbers within FE Agriculture, an exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit for a further Subject Leader in FE Agriculture (Livestock).
  • We are looking for a highly motivated and inspiring individual to help lead a committed and forward-thinking team within our high-achieving Agriculture department.
  • You will have passion and knowledge to oversee the delivery of a range of Level 2 and Level 3 programmes, including BTEC and T-Level qualifications.
  • You will take responsibility for managing unit and course delivery, ensuring consistently high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment, while continuously working to enhance the overall student experience.
  • This role plays a key part in driving the department forward, maintaining strong links with industry partners, embedding employability and sustainability across the curriculum, and ensuring that every opportunity is taken to develop the department towards an outstanding provision.
  • This is an exciting opportunity within Hartpury’s FE Agriculture department to apply your industry expertise, deliver inspirational teaching and manage a forward‑thinking team—all within a supportive, dynamic environment.

About You

  • You will hold a minimum of Level 5 teaching qualifications, and ideally an undergraduate qualification in an agricultural related subject area, or demonstrate relevant experience. 
  • You will have sound knowledge and experience of the agriculture industry, with a focus on Livestock Production.
  • You will also have a desire to continuously improve your own skills and knowledge.
  • Ideally applicants will hold an IQA qualification or assessors’ qualification to oversee the enrolment, delivery and assessment of the complementary qualifications within the department. 
  • A strong understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and how this relates to the management and quality of the department is also important.
