About the Role:
We are looking for an outstanding individual to help contribute towards our CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity) endorsed undergraduate and postgraduate sports coaching curriculum. At Hartpury University we have a rich history of developing sports coaches working at all levels, with coach development at the heart of our University Sport Department. We are looking for someone to join a vibrant coaching team to continue this work and support us to enhance our offer moving forwards.
- The successful candidate will contribute to our sports coaching curriculum with a specific focus on practitioner development, both at undergraduate and postgraduate
- You will demonstrate a clear skills set, and knowledge base focused on coach development
- You will aspire to ensure the continuous improvement of the student experience and have clear appreciation of industry application and impact.
- You will demonstrate a passion for coach development and evidence practical coaching skills

About You:
- You will have a relevant postgraduate qualification and bring with you experience of the applied sports coaching industry
- You will have a higher education teaching qualification or professional recognition (e.g. PGCHE, SFHEA/FHEA or equivalent) or a commitment to complete one within one year
- As a specialist in sports coaching and practitioner development, your experience of working in applied contexts will enable you to contribute to teaching and learning activities across a range of general sports modules Further contributing to specialist applied modules in sports coaching from level 4 through postgraduate delivery
- You will be committed to creating a high-quality student experience, evidenced through a focus on excellence within teaching and learning. A record of active research and knowledge exchange is welcomed
- You will also have a clear appreciation of the connectivity between theory and practice and the ability to foster industry partnerships to develop partnership for both student placements and both staff and student project work
- You will be able to demonstrate a record of active scholarship and willingness to continue to personally and professionally develop
