Healthshare is a successful provider of clinical and diagnostic services to the NHS and private sectors across various locations throughout the country.

In March 2022 our brand new Healthshare Clinic Winchester opened the doors to patients. We are the Flagship centre for The Healthshare Group.

The opening of the clinic has resulted in a number of exciting new roles within Day Surgery Unit. The unit comprises of 4 beds, 2 theatres, 4 Recovery Bays and 3/6 high volume patient bays. We currently provide day surgical procedures in the following specialities Orthopaedic, Plastics including Ocular-Plastics, Ophthalmology, with Gynaecology, Urology, and Maxillo-Facial surgery forecast in the coming months.

We are looking for experienced Anaesthetic Practitioners who can demonstrate a dynamic approach to their work and have commitment, drive and enthusiasm, you will be encouraged to work as part of a strong team and become involved in developing your own service. You will need to work autonomously.

 The post holder will need to be prepared to work within a busy environment and we would expect staff to be flexible in their approach to cover other areas in the unit once competent to do so working within their own scope of practice. Individuals must have a flexible attitude to working patterns to meet the service needs working to professional and national standards.

Job Summary:

As an Anaesthetic Practitioner/ODP/RGN, you will be responsible for delivering excellent care of individual patients moving within the day unit throughout their surgical journey, the post holder is expected to practice a high standard of clinical care as part of the multi-discplinary team and being key in and improving patient experience. The post holder will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of their patients. Whilst on duty they would be expected to support and encourage the concept of team work, team development and the collaboration between team members

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Deliver a consistently high standard of patient care utilising evidence-based practice
  • Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluation of peri-operative patient care.
  • Prepare their working environment in readiness for patients during the peri operative period.
  • Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and any faults reported to the Theatre Lead immediately.
  • Prepare patients and provide assistance for clinical/operative procedures.
  • Ensure participation and compliance with mandatory and professional training.
