Endoscopy Nurse

We are seeking a registered nurse to work within our Endoscopy team. The ward you will be working on is busy and demanding but also rewarding and challenging with opportunities to learn and develop. With a firm belief in education you will be supported in your nursing development with an open door policy to the senior sister so you know you can always rely on having an ear to discuss your future and progress. You will need very good communication skills to network closely with other departments and multidisciplinary teams, and excellent patient care to manage your caseload of patients.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

Carry out planned care for a group of patients without direct supervision

Ensure the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based, individualized patient care

Undertake nursing procedures and support patients undergoing endoscopic procedures

Manage patients in a safe and timely manner through the Endoscopy pathway, identifying patient needs and taking action as required to manage or escalate to the coordinator or Endoscopy manager

Carry out Endoscopy unit /Directorate/Divisional/Trust audits as required

Participate in the Endoscopy nurse on-call rota and help to improve patient outcomes

Assist and advise junior staff in the delivery of patient care
