As a Category Buyer within our Appliance Category, you’ll be reporting to our Senior Category Buyer within the wider Commercial team.

Summary

You’ll be responsible for delivering targeted P&L benefits and supporting the development of a supply base that guarantees supply and provides growth, as well as the supply strategies that underpin our wider business objectives.  Accountable for an extensive purchasing portfolio, you’ll deliver cost reduction against agreed targets, identifying new supply options and product opportunities, as well as negotiating effective commercial terms, with input from our Senior Category Buyer

Accountabilities

  • Accountable for a number of multi-million pound accounts totalling over £50m.
  • Working closely with a multi-national supply base including international renowned organisations.
  • Extensive purchasing portfolio with end to end responsibilities that includes range and  product lifecycle management, tendering and bench marking and launch support and market pricing.
  • UK and international travel will be required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Must have 5yrs+ of industry experience.
  • CIPS qualification is preferential but not essential.
  • Ideally have experience or exposure to Product and Brand leadership.
  • Experience or exposure to negotiating and compiling supply agreements
  • A strong all-round communicator with global sourcing exposure and strong analytical skills.
