IT Commercial Analyst

Join Howdens as an IT Commercial Analyst at our Brackmills Business Park office in Northampton.  As a thriving FTSE 100 company, you'll support the IT Commercial function by creating all IT purchase orders for goods and services. This permanent role requires you to be in the office four days a week, with one day working from home.

In this role, you'll drive increased visibility and control of IT discretionary spend, monitor contracts, and facilitate renewals. Reporting directly to the IT Commercial Manager, you'll support the infrastructure financial forecasts, involving key stakeholder reviews to capture changes and manage forecast fluctuations.

As an excellent communicator, you'll build relationships confidently with the wider team and third-party suppliers to ensure procurement processes maximise the IT budget. Your meticulous attention to detail will assist in maintaining the IS contracts database, renewing contracts, and providing Management Information reporting.

What will I be doing as an IT Commercial Analyst?

• Oversee the procedures for procuring IT equipment, services, and resources from third-party suppliers, optimising and improving these processes.
• Collaborating with project managers, Service Delivery, Infrastructure teams, and third-party suppliers to maximise the return on the IT budget.
• Maintaining the IT contracts database, renew low-value/low-risk contracts, and provide MI reporting.
• Monitoring IT procurement and delivery from third-party suppliers, understanding SLAs and reporting on both breaches and excellent service provision.
• Providing administrative support to the IS Commercial Manager and the wider IT team.
• Monitoring software usage against license entitlement and assisting in actions for non-compliance.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in IT Procurement and Contract Management is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages is essential.
• Knowledge of SAP Financials is preferred.
• Meticulous attention to detail and rigorous retention of auditable documents and records.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• A responsible attitude towards following procedures.
