Finance Analyst - Contracts Division

Howdens Joinery is recruiting for a Finance Analyst to work as part of our Contracts Division. We are flexible on the location for this position and it could be based in either Watford or Northampton.

As a Finance Analyst, you will contribute to the Contracts Divisions short and long term financial goals, through the collection, creation and communication of insightful data. In addition, you will be responsible for data integrity and process and reporting improvements

Relationships are key, therefore as Finance Analyst you must be able to interact with, influence and coach your stakeholders, who are highly diverse. You will have previous experience of working in a fast-paced commercial environment, be used to managing your own workload and achieve deadlines under pressure. 

Responsibilities in brief

  • Prepare periodic profit and loss accounts
  • Take control of the budgeting and forecasting process and be able to build scenarios
  • Understand the impact of relevant costs on profitability with focus on payroll costs
  • Responsible for the CAPEX budgets within the contract’s division
  • Maintain product list prices across various systems ensuring any price increases or cost reductions are implemented in a suitable manner
  • Create and maintain price bands for various product categories and customers in line with demand and relevant agreements
  • Analyse customer spends and propose rebates based on fluctuating volumes
  • Analyse existing bonus and incentive schemes
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of data across multiple systems
  • Prepare and analyse periodic Dashboards combining data from various systems including SAP, SharePoint and Business Objects

The Person

  • Educated to A level or Degree standard and be Part Qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
  • Experience in FP&A role in a fast moving, highly commercial business
  • Excellent effective communicator with strong influencing and coaching skills
  • Highly analytical and possess commercial acumen
  • Work on own initiative and ability to respond to changing priorities
  • Likes to challenge and does not conform to the ordinary
  • Can adapt to new challenges and ways of working
