FLT Driver | 8/12 Tonne

We are recruiting an 8/12-Tonne Forklift Truck Driver to join our warehousing operation in Hull, East Yorkshire.

This is an essential role in the warehouse, where you will be working as part of a team to support the supply of stock back to the main site at Howden.

Pay rate as a FLT Driver & shift pattern:

• B Grade - £39,900.64 + Shift Allowance 

• Night shift: 02:00pm until 12.30am (Monday to Thursday)

What will you be doing as a Forklift Truck Driver: 

• Forklift duties Include Unloading Board & MDF from internal & external trailers and transporting and loading board into the warehouse
• Loading Board & MDF safely onto trailers for despatch to other Warehouses
• Working to the relevant SOPs
• Delivering Inbound delivery notes to the relevant stock controller

What do you need to qualify for the FLT Driver: 

• Hold a full, valid forklift truck Licence.
• Have high regard for both their personal and team health and safety, reporting hazards and near misses and taking reasonable steps to ensure safety across the site.
• Be able to use their initiative and undertake their responsibilities often without direct supervision to complete their designated work allocation.
• Perform MHE pre-use safety checks and fill out log books reporting any defects to the relevant management team.
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience would be desirable but is not essential.
