Online Content Administrator (FTC)

Working as part of the Creative team to provide support in:

  • preparing, uploading and maintaining content for IGD’s websites (, IGD Asia, Retail Analysis, ShopperVista, Supply Chain Analysis)
  • populating, testing and sending email newsletters according to briefs (via the Dotdigital platform)


The role 


Using various software (e.g. Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel, Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat, DNN) to:

  • Prepare and upload photographs, PowerPoint presentations, PDFs and HTML-based articles for IGD’s websites, maintaining the quality and standards required
  • Tag photos and other searchable content in the content management system (DNN)
  • Format, update, optimise and upload PowerPoint files for our websites (especially paid online services) using approved templates and standards
  • General maintenance of webpage layouts and content blocks as and when needed
  • Where a technical issue arises with either the content management system or front-end websites, communicate the issue using the correct process and report on resolution


Using briefs supplied by the Marketing team, and using Dotdigital to action them:

  • Set up email newsletter activities according to the Marketing schedule
  • Populate email newsletter templates with content (text, images, links)
  • Thoroughly test and proofread email newsletters prior to send, including liaising with Marketing colleagues for checks and final approval
  • Schedule and send email newsletters to correct recipient lists
  • Other duties may be required by the organisation from time to time and the job holder will be expected to contribute to these 



  • You will be based at our head office in Letchmore Heath, Watford, Hertfordshire.

  • Effective communicator with a good standard of written and spoken English (clear diction)
  • Computer literate with good keyboard skills and a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint) and web browsers. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, HTML and content management systems desirable
