We are looking for
an excellent customer relationship developer to manage our overall customer acquisition strategy.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to develop new commercial prospects, to meet agreed financial targets and manage the customer acquisition strategy. It covers the overall delivery of sales targets, pipeline management, new business planning and growing your team.

The responsibilities

Reporting into the Commercial Director, these include:

Commercial effectiveness

You will be responsible for the delivery of the overall, and your own, sales target for Retail Analysis new business; selling IGD’s total proposition (including Retail Analysis, Supply Chain Analysis & ShopperVista and generating leads for IGD Solutions).

You’ll engage at the most senior levels, with elevated conversations, meeting customer needs with effective proposals.

You’ll provide a regular flow of insightful and actionable customer feedback to drive targeted product development.


Financial insight

This involves the overall new business pipeline management for Retail Analysis; accurately tracking opportunities, interpreting short- and long-term trends and providing regular guidance and insight to the Commercial Director.

Input into quarterly forecasts and annual budget.


Projects & planning

You will have overall responsibility for the new business strategy and longer-term planning, working collaboratively with other teams, especially Marketing. Regularly reviewing the activity and assessing the impact and effectiveness on data.


Growing talent

With responsibility for managing direct report(s) and the recruitment and development of new talent and growing the team; acting as a mentor / coach to other team members, when required.

Co-ordination with our team in Singapore.

What you bring

  • Strong commercial acumen; intellectually and numerically robust
  • Strong influencing, listening and presentational skills
  • Highly developed awareness and understanding of the FMCG and Grocery industry, and a keen interest to continue to learn
  • Awareness and understanding of the business issues affecting IGD
  • Effective communicator who acts with diplomacy, discretion and integrity, able to work under pressure
  • Excellent team player, including being supportive of the wider IGD team

The location

We are operating a hybrid approach to working with a mix of home and office-based working. We are based in a very accessible location within the M25, just 20 miles from central London.
