Digital learning technology is transforming the way learners acquire and develop knowledge and skills - and nowhere more so than at JTL. As one of the largest work-based learning providers in the country, we are now looking for an inspirational professional to develop and drive an ambitious digital learning strategy that will reshape the way we deliver our services to apprentices and other technical learning groups.

Acting as the lead Instructional Designer, you will work with senior managers across the group to develop our digital product portfolio. In addition to leading and motivating a team that includes Learning Designers and a Digital Product Manager, you will manage the entire product cycle from inception, design and prototyping to launch, maintenance and support. This will extend to all aspects of quality assurance, and we will rely on you to liaise with Teaching, Learning and Assessment colleagues to set and monitor standards. You will also keep up to date with the latest developments in learning technologies and media and actively promote best practice in digital learning.

This key role calls for a strong background in instructional design and experience of managing a team responsible for designing and producing digital learning products and resources. Certainly, proven ability to manage complex digital learning projects within strict time and budget constraints is essential. You will also know how to manage learning management systems and LMS suppliers, and must have first-class influencing and collaboration skills. Any experience in a commercial environment or the post-16 education sector would be an advantage.
