Location: Home based with regular UK travel and occasional international travel.

Working pattern/hours:  Full time & permanent. Normal working hours are 35 per week, excluding 1-hour main meal break. 

Salary: Between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on skills and experience.

About the role

Responsibilities and accountabilities:

Job Purpose:

To develop and deliver effective strategic customer focused marketing, digital and communication plans aligned to the CompEx strategy and business plan, which improve awareness and engagement with existing stakeholders, identify new market opportunities, and support the effective development and promotion of CompEx and its related products.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Deliver the annual Marketing and Communications Plan to ensure long-term success and the delivery of the strategic corporate objectives
  • Liaise with the approved PR and communications agency to ensure service level agreements are met and positive PR coverage is achieved
  • Support the Head of Marketing to manage social media campaigns, events and marketing activity measuring results and ensuring KPls are achieved by maximising ROI
  • Coordinate all lead generation campaigns with other colleagues and staff within CompEx to ensure that the plans are delivered effectively
  • Exploit business opportunities using the CRM platform to grow the customer database
  • Develop, plan and manage digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO, email, social media and display advertising. Ensure seamless integration across all digital platforms whilst keeping ahead of current digital marketing trends and insights
  • Maintain social media presence across all digital channels
  • Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with the business development, technical and product teams and other customer facing colleagues to ensure integrated campaigns are delivered effectively.
  • Produce regular, accurate and informative reports for the Managing Director and SMT
  • Ensure website content relating to campaigns is relevant, accurate and SEO compliant.

 

Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent; marketing or communications related qualification preferred
  • Maths and English at GCSE / O’level A-C, or equivalent
  • Proven skills and experience in campaign management and delivery to a very high standard
  • An excellent understanding and experience of managing campaigns via digital marketing, social media, PR, advertising, collateral development
  • Proven experience of managing and delivering engaging events
  • Proven external resource management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and knowledge of communication best practice
  • Proven campaign and project management skills with the ability to manage cross-team and geographically remote projects
  • Strong organisational skills and commercial acumen
  • Good knowledge of SEO practices
  • Working knowledge of WordPress and how to update
  • Content management using WordPress CMS
  • Driving licence and use of a car
  • Willing to travel regularly in the UK and potentially overseas

Desirable:

  • Diploma from The Chartered Institute of Marketing
  • Experience in the work based learning or commercial training sector
