CompEx Digital Solutions Specialist
Location: Home based with some travel required to our office in Wrexham. Regular UK travel will also be required.
Working pattern/hours: Full time & permanent. Normal working hours are 35 per week, excluding 1-hour main meal break.
Salary: Between £45,000 and £55,000 depending on skills and experience.

About the role
Job purpose:
The Digital Solutions Specialist is a pivotal role supporting the growth, stability, and ongoing transformation of CompEx's digital infrastructure. This position provides dedicated in-house expertise across system configuration, process digitisation, software development, data integration, and data-driven solution design. The role supports the development and maintenance of core platforms such as Accolade, MyCompEx, Zoho CRM, and e-learning systems, while also enabling the creation of integrated reporting solutions and interactive dashboards. It will help address critical delivery and capacity gaps, ensuring more responsive, efficient, and sustainable implementation of digital initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities:
- Configure and support core digital platforms (e.g. Zoho CRM) including workflows, automation, permissions, and integrations
- Develop and enhance internal .NET applications (Blazor-based) and maintain supporting APIs and backend logic
- Automate manual processes using platforms like Make.com, Power Automate, and Zapier
- Collaborate with internal teams to map processes and deliver practical, scalable digital solutions
- Support the deployment and integration of e-learning and SCORM-based content
- Assist with the design and maintenance of reporting and analytics dashboards
- Create and maintain clear documentation for technical processes, system configurations, integrations, and user workflows
- Troubleshoot issues across digital systems, identifying root causes and implementing durable solutions
- Participate in system design discussions, backlog grooming, and the continuous improvement of digital services
- Support testing, release management, and rollout of new features or integrations
Key Performance Indicators: Detailed KPI’s will be finalised with the successful candidate, but are likely to include:
- Uptime and stability of supported systems and integrations
- Successful deployment of new workflows, features, or automations
- Reduction in manual administrative tasks through automation
- Completion and accuracy of technical documentation
- User satisfaction and feedback on supported platforms
- Response and resolution times for issues raised
Person Specification
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in software development (.NET Core, APIs)
- CRM platform configuration (Zoho CRM, Salesforce, HubSpot or equivalent)
- Experience integrating systems via APIs or automation tools (Make.com, Power Automate, Zapier)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Experience in documenting technical processes and workflows clearly
Desirable:
- Experience with .Net Blazor
- Experience with Azure Cloud Services
- Familiarity with SCORM content and platforms (e.g. Articulate, SCORM Cloud)
- SQL database querying and management (Azure SQL, T-SQL)
- Power BI or similar dashboard/reporting tools
- Experience with WordPress, PHP, or Python
- Understanding of and experience with AI use cases
- Strong personal organisation and ability to manage multiple tasks
