People Administrator
Location: Home Based with some travel required. Some national travel may be required on occasion, to other JTL centres including our Head Office in Orpington.
Working pattern/hours: Full time, 35 hours per week.
Salary: Up to £26,000 depending on skills and experience.

About the role
Job Purpose:
The People Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support to the People Operations Team, ensuring efficient People operations and the consistent high delivery of people services across JTL. This role supports the full range of people operations, including maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment processes, assisting with onboarding, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and ensuring ongoing compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job adverts, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting pre-employment checks.
- Support new hire onboarding and offboarding processes including probation reviews.
- Support with the preparation of People-related documentation such as employment contracts, offer letters, and policy updates.
- Handle general HR queries from employees and managers and management of HR inbox.
- Support payroll by providing necessary employee data (e.g., absences, bonuses, leaves).
- Help ensure compliance with employment law and internal People policies.
- Generate people reports and metrics as require (e.g. staffing, recruitment, training, employee relations, performance evaluations etc)
- Maintain the HR Trackers to reflect correct data on employees.
- Coordinate people projects, events, and training sessions (e.g. wellbeing & welfare)
- Oversee the maintenance of comprehensive electronic people records to ensure compliance with data protection, equal opportunities and other legal requirements.
Person Specification
Essential Requirements:
- CIPD Level 3 qualified/or equivalent or be studying towards your CIPD.
- A minimum of 2 years proven experience as an HR Administrator, HR Assistant, or similar role.
- Knowledge of HR systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS)
- Understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a regulated industry.
- Experience of working within a training provider environment.
- An understanding of Safeguarding.
- Experience working with SelectHR/Access
