To support the future growth of the Airport, LBA is looking to recruit cleaning staff. We are looking for reliable and hard-working staff, with a professional attitude who will be courteous and welcoming to both passengers and staff at the Airport.
This role will be responsible for :-
- Ensuring exceptional level of cleaning service is delivered across all areas of the Airport and to ensure all aspects of cleanliness exceed our customers’ expectations at all times.
- Carrying out regular cleaning patrols of airport zones around the building both inside and outside of the terminal
- Reporting any cleanliness and maintenance issues to the Cleaning Team Leader
- Assisting departments with their reports of cleanliness issues and attend in an acceptable time to rectify the issue
- Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points
- Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops
- Mopping floors with brushes with or dust control mops
- Mopping floors with wet or damp mops
- Vacuuming and suction cleaning carpeted areas
- Using electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish and spray clean floors
- To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, window sills and external surfaces
- Replenishing consumable items
- Cleaning washrooms, including urinals, toilets and sinks
- Using chemical agents as directed by the Cleaning Team Leader in the discharge of cleaning operations or maintenance procedures, in line with COSHH
- Undertaking wall washing or inside window pane cleaning to a height no greater than body height plus an arms extension from floor level
Previous experience in a cleaning role, and knowledge of H&S legislations / COSHH is preferable but not essential
This role requires flexibility as you will be working 6pm – 6am on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
