What's On Executive


London & Partners is the Mayor of London’s official promotional agency. We promote London and attract businesses, events, congresses, students and visitors to the capital. Our aims are to build London’s international reputation and to attract investment and visitor spend, which create jobs and growth.

It is our privilege to promote London around the world, working in partnership with the Greater London Authority (GLA), Department of Trade & Investment (DIT), VisitBritain and other destination marketing organisations, the London boroughs and many other key stakeholders, as well as our 1,000-plus private sector partners.

Our target audiences are leisure and business tourists, the travel trade, event organisers, overseas businesses and investors, and prospective higher education students. Our marketing and promotional activities are designed to encourage visits, investments and spend in London now, as well as building London’s reputation to support its long term success. Our mission is to tell London's story brilliantly.

We are a not-for-profit public private partnership, funded by the Mayor of London and our network of commercial partners.

Domestic Tourism Consortium L&P has formed a Domestic Tourism Consortium with key London stakeholders and organisations to deliver a series of marketing campaigns aimed at driving demand among domestic audiences. These campaigns will be developed according to an agreed marketing strategy over three years from 2019-2022. Consortium members include public and private sector companies, who will fund the always on and campaign activities during the life of the Consortium. L&P will be the delivery partner for the Consortium, responsible for the successful development, execution and evaluation of the agreed marketing campaigns according to KPIs set by the Consortium. L&P will select and manage external agencies to develop a three-year marketing strategy, campaign creative, paid media and customer acquisition activities. L&P will work to expand the number of Consortium partners, in order to fund additional campaigns and grow the reach and impact of the campaigns on driving domestic demand.

Purpose of role

  • Working within the Content team, you will use a CMS and listings database to produce, optimise and update What’s On listings, guided by the domestic tourism project team.  
  • You will have shared responsibility for ensuring L&P’s content output is high-quality and consistent. 
  • Working in an agile environment, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our digital channels. 

Key tasks 

  • Deliver project and ‘always on’ digital listings as delegated by domestic project lead, prioritising tasks.  
  • Follow best practice guidelines and company style guide. 
  • Research and create listings content that inspires target audiences and delivers against targets such as traffic, lead and revenue generation 
  • Source and curate content from third-parties e.g. domestic tourism stakeholders, partners or PR contacts
  • Work closely with social media, design and email teams, delivering content directly where required 
  • Any other reasonable duties as allocated by the line manager

Person specification 

The successful candidate will demonstrate: 

  • Relevant experience in a similar role  
  • Able to write and load accurate and engaging digital listings
  • Audience specialism related to leisure tourism or culture 
  • Excellent data management skills and exceptional attention to detail 
  • Experience sourcing, curating and repurposing copy and images 
  • Content management system and database experience  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint 
  • Committed to continuous learning 
  • Experience working in an agile marketing environment and as part of project teams.
