London & Partners is the Mayor of London’s official promotional agency. We promote London and attract businesses, events, congresses, students and visitors to the capital. Our aims are to build London’s international reputation and to attract investment and visitor spend, which create jobs and growth.

Our target audiences are leisure and business tourists, the travel trade, event organisers, overseas businesses and investors, and prospective higher education students. Our marketing and promotional activities are designed to encourage visits, investments and spend in London now, as well as building London’s reputation to support its long-term success. Our mission is to tell London's story brilliantly. 

We are a not-for-profit public private partnership, funded by the Mayor of London and our network of commercial partners.

This role will be based in our Paris office.

London & Partners France

London & Partners’ Paris office aims to attract French businesses, and in particular French startups, to London.

London & Partners France works to maintain and develop the existing ties between the London and French business ecosystems, by prospecting and engaging with French startups in the financial services, creative, urban services and life sciences sectors. London & Partners France also develops and expands the existing network of relations with local stakeholders and multipliers to amplify messaging to our targeted audiences.


Purpose of role 

The London & Partners Paris office is seeking an intern for a period of 6 months starting January 2020.

You will learn about the work of London & Partners, the official promotional agency for the Mayor of London. In particular, you will gain insight into the workings of the British diplomatic missions in France, in particular the Department for International Trade (DIT) and you will have the opportunity to network directly with a wide range of French and London companies and officials.

Key Responsibilities  


During the internship, and under the responsibility of your supervisor, you will gain insight into and become actively involved in a variety of areas related to trade and FDI promotion such as: 


  • Prospection & Lead Generation: contacting and engaging with startups and business in key sectors: financial services, creative, life sciences, urban services, retail, etc.
  • Administrative tasks: supporting the Paris office with relevant administrative tasks, including budgets, reporting, CRM
  • Market research & Industrial sector mapping: working with the Paris team to identify potential synergies between the London and French business ecosystems
  • Stakeholder management: working with the Paris office to nurture and develop relations with relevant local stakeholders
  • Social Media: supporting the Paris office’s inhouse PR-Press officer with the management and growing of our social media network and presence
  • Event management
  • VIP visits

You'll have


Knowledge and experience 

  • Education: student at a French university (Political Sciences, Economics, International Affairs). A ‘Convention de Stage’ is required;
  • London/UK: knowledge, experience and passion for London is highly desirable 
  • IT: knowledge of internet, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Powerpoint is necessary. 
  • Languages: French (Native) and English (Fluent) mandatory
  • Previous experience: previous experience in a politics, diplomatic or business consultancy environment is an advantage
