Purpose of role 

Supporting the Marketing Lead, you will be working primarily across Trade and Growth, providing marketing services for programmes such as the Mayor of London’s International Business Programme (which helps London-based scaleups expand internationally), the Business Growth Programme (which helps London-based startups grow within London) and London Leaders Network (our business alumni network). 

Key Tasks 

  • Advise and deliver cross-channel marketing and communication strategies, plans and approaches to help market and position the programmes
  • Work proactively with wider project teams to identify market opportunities, help generate leads, build awareness and create engagement with the programmes, ensuring that the programmes are integrated and aligned across the business
  • Support the development of new comms initiatives and opportunities with key internal and external stakeholders, partners and influencers
  • Collate engaging and effective collateral internally and externally to respond to the needs of our target audiences and support the end-to-end customer journey of the programmes, including our wider alumni community
  • Manage and oversee regular content creation, and advertising when required, on social media channels (namely, Twitter and LinkedIn), working with the wider social media / business marketing teams to optimise and align
  • Collaborate with the central press team to strategise and draft press releases, op-eds and thought leadership pieces, driving media coverage for the business programmes, and, by extension, London & Partners
  • Support with monitoring and measurement to ensure effectiveness, managing the relevant budgets and spend to demonstrate ROI

 You'll be/have: 

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, and the ability to write compelling copy
  • Experience delivering impactful, integrated B2B marketing and communication campaigns across multiple audiences, markets, channels and media with demonstrable results
  • Excellent project management skills and track record of delivering projects on time and to budget
  • Broad and deep marketing and communications skills, particularly digital
  • B2B social media marketing including planning, posting, advertising, optimisation and reporting

The salary for this role has been approved as advertised in line with our pay structure.  We will not negotiate or vary this figure upon offer or appointment.

Purpose of role

Supporting the Marketing Lead, you will be working primarily across Trade and Growth, providing marketing services for programmes such as the Mayor of London’s International Business Programme (which helps London-based scaleups expand internationally), the Business Growth Programme (which helps London-based startups grow within London) and London Leaders Network (our business alumni network). You will promote these programmes on an ongoing basis to raise their profile, attract new participants, and amplify their successes across the London business community. You will produce excellent copy, ensure all output is on brand and that data and audience insights are at the heart of everything you do.

You will work in a fast-paced and positive environment, working across a variety of channels including social media (mostly Twitter and LinkedIn), events (both virtual and in-person), digital, PR, print and content creation.

 

Key responsibilities

Desirable

  • Marketing degree / qualification or equivalent experience
  • International experience within core markets (US, India, China, Europe)

  • Background that includes B2B marketing experience, preferably in services
  • CRM experience, preferably Salesforce
