Purpose of the Role

Working closely with the Programme Manager and wider BGP Team to support the operational delivery of the Programme and contribute to the communications and community engagement strategy of the Business Growth Programme (BGP) - a London & Partner’s initiative funded by the Mayor of London and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), and in helping London’s small businesses to grow.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Curate and deliver core programme content via face-to-face, hybrid and digital events such as workshops, office hours, networking sessions, and peer-to-peer activities.
  • Support the delivery of large scale events across the Directorate, working closely with other Trade & Growth Programme Managers.
  • Support the creation, communication and promotion of the core workstream content including: sales acceleration, prioritising & engaging your audiences, raising funds &finance, developing people strategies and validating your business model.
  • Support to develop and maintain an engaging content strategy to manage and nurture the BGP Community. Primarily through the planning, editing and coordination of content for a variety of digital communication channels including, social media, newsletters, case studies and peer-to-peer connections.
  • Support to service the Programme’s Strategic Partner and Mentor Network, including communication with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Maintain digital platforms used to support the operational execution of the Programme such as DocuSign, Eventbrite, Zoom, Salesforce and Slack.
  • Support with collection and collation of data and feedback to evaluate and enhance the support provided across the Programme.
  • Working closely with the marketing team to support the preparation and production of collateral and resources to facilitate the promotion and engagement of everything the Programme has to offer.
  • Working closely with the compliance team to maintain records as per ERDF guidelines including data collection for client activities, project reporting and feedback collection and collation.
  • Deliver ad hoc operational and administrative support for the wider team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • An interest in economic development in London and an ability to pick up new subject

areas quickly.

  • Experience of social media management and using digital communications or online platforms such as Salesforce, Eventbrite, Zoom and Slack would be valuable.
  • Knowledge of ERDF programmes and experience of working with SMEs and/ or startups would be valuable.
