Content Executive, Visit London Growth

Purpose of role 

As key member of the Visit London Growth Team you will create compelling content to win and convert audiences across a variety of channels. You will play a key role in delivering an income-focused content strategy for visitlondon.com, based on search data, trends, and product/page performance.

You will ensure content is updated and optimised for SEO and ecommerce, and you will assist in other tasks to test content; working as one team to grow revenues on Visit London channels

You will use a CMS and listings database to produce, optimise and update listings, articles and landing pages as guided by the Content Manager and you will work with internal teams on other tasks, such as writing email newsletters and assisting content testing.

Key Tasks 

  • Optimise existing and create new content to grow our audiences across a variety of channels, with a focus on vistlondon.com.
  • Create compelling copy and engaging stories to improve conversion rates across our channels.
  • Ensure key ecommerce content is up to date across all our channels, including but not limited to listings, articles and landing pages, as delegated by the Content Manager and Content Lead.
  • Follow best practice guidelines and the company style guides in order to ensure consistency and high-quality output.
  • Source and curate content from third-parties (e.g. partners or PR contacts) and wider research, in order to create content that inspires target audiences and delivers against targets such as traffic, stakeholder objectives and revenue generation.
  • Deliver content that supports the a/b and multivariate testing programme.
  • Work closely with the Head of Growth, SEO Manager, CRO Specialist, Lead Analyst, Content Manager and Content Lead to deliver content to grow, engage and convert our audiences.
  • Work with the SEO Manager, Content Manager and Content Lead to acquire new customers, assisting with reporting/data.
  • Sub-editing content as required.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as allocated by manager.

 You’ll have/bring

  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Able to write and load accurate and engaging digital listings and articles
  • Experience of writing to a consumer audience
  • Experience writing and optimising content for SEO
  • Excellent data management skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience sourcing, curating and repurposing copy and images
  • Content management system (preferably Sitecore) and database experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Committed to continuous learning
  • Experience working in an agile marketing environment and as part of project teams

The salary for this role has been approved as advertised in line with our pay structure.  We will not negotiate or vary this figure upon offer or appointment.
