Purpose of role  

As Programme Manager for the Business Growth Programme (BGP), a London & Partner’s initiative funded by the Mayor of London and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), your role will primarily be to oversee the content curation and operational and strategic delivery of the Programme. This includes the core content plan, the mentor programme and Alumni Community. You will be required to manage and develop meaningful relationships with Strategic Delivery Partners and ensure content is relevant, regularly evaluated, and iterated where necessary.

You will work directly with the Head of BGP and the Programme Assistant and alongside the three Business Growth Managers.



Key Tasks


  • Working closely with the Head of BGP curate and deliver core Programme content across the five content streams: ‘People Strategies’, ‘Raising Funds & Finance’, ‘Sales Acceleration’, ‘Prioritising & Engaging Your Audiences’ and ‘Advancing Your Business Plan’.
  • Liaise with the Head of BGP and Programme Managers to develop a strategy to identify and engage existing and new T&G Mentors. Explore opportunities to better utilise the Mentor resource and create processes/ tools for the Business Growth Managers to use to engage their portfolio of clients.
  • Manage and further develop the Programme’s relationships with Strategic Delivery Partners, seeking feedback from both participating companies and Partners and ensuring content is still appropriate for the programme, re-evaluating and re-working where necessary.
  • Work to identify new Strategic Partners and negotiate contracts that can bring value to the Programme through content delivery, unique BGP offers, corporate connections or mentoring.
  • Oversee the management and expansion of the BGP Alumni Community, the impact of the Alumni offering and streamline processes to explore the opportunity of consolidating the T&G Alumni community.
  • Drive the delivery of large-scale events across the Directorate, working closely with other Trade & Growth Programme Managers.
  • Perform data analysis and create data driven insights on programme content, Partners and BGP community to inform critical decision making and key stakeholders such as the GLA and other ERDF teams.
  • Design and influence strategic communications and delivery plans for events, key stakeholders and BGP community and oversee their completion, including the creation and delivery of strategic marketing collateral in liaison with the T&G Marketing Team.
  • Work with the marketing team to collect data as necessary to report back to the Head of BGP, including insights and statistics on programme content, the Alumni Community and any other pertinent data to share with stakeholders such as the GLA and other ERDF teams.
  • Line manage and develop the Programme Executive, creating an environment to help them thrive and develop.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary, cross-department and cross-organisational groups and project teams.
