London & Partners is the Mayor of London’s official promotional agency. We promote London and attract businesses, events, congresses, students and visitors to the capital. Our aims are to build London’s international reputation and to attract investment and visitor spend, which create jobs and growth.

Our marketing and promotional activities are designed to encourage visits, investments and spend in London now, as well as building London’s reputation to support its long term success. Purpose of role 

Working within the Communications team and across the wider Campaigns and Content & Channels teams, you will develop and implement an influencer and outreach strategy which delivers against our strategic objectives and according to agreed campaign KPIs. You will work closely with key stakeholders and partners to generate positive sentiment and advocacy for London. You will devise and implement high-profile influencer trips and events, in line with campaign objectives. You will act as a subject matter expert within the Communications team and help your colleagues to develop their skillset in this area. You will manage the Influencer & Outreach Executive, and help them to develop relationships with key parties including influential content creators, partners and brands. You will work with the Social Media team to evaluate and report on influencer content and collaborations, and to shape integrated outreach campaigns. 

Key tasks 

  • Develop an effective influencer and outreach strategy to deliver agreed strategic objectives and campaign KPIs 
  • Identify, engage and develop strong relationships with influencers (content creators, PRs, partners, stakeholders) to leverage their reach and channels to maximise the impact of our campaigns 
  • Manage influencer and outreach campaign budgets; demonstrate ROI against KPIs 
  • Support and develop the Influencer and Outreach Executive to develop and grow their skillset, including communicating appropriately to influencers on social media, building a network of influencers, and working with social media colleagues to deliver integrated campaigns 
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify influencer and outreach opportunities, and devise and help deliver high-profile offline events 
  • Work with and coach your Communications’ team colleagues to help them develop their understanding and knowledge of effective influencer campaigns, so as to build the skillset of the team as a whole 
  • Work with Campaigns colleagues to evaluate and report on influencer activities as part of broader campaign activities 
  • Any other reasonable tasks as allocated by your line manager

The successful candidate will demonstrate: 

Knowledge and Experience 

  • Ability to work effectively with influencers, partners and internal stakeholders to deliver high-impact influencer and outreach campaigns against agreed KPIs  
  • Excellent interpersonal and content creation skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with high-level influencers in our core markets 
  • An excellent network of influencers and agencies across our core markets 
  • Ability to manage budgets and demonstrate ROI 
  • Committed to continuous learning and evolving with industry best practice 
  • Customer first and data led, using audience data to inform activity and achieve goals 
  • Experience working in an agile marketing environment and as part of project teams 
  • Desirable: written and/or spoken fluency in one of French, German, Mandarin
