The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the Marketing team at one of Scotland’s leading law firms. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will manage all aspects of the tender process from downloading tender documents, preparing responses to questionnaires, drafting tender responses, ensuring company information is kept up to date and supporting with wider project work.

You will have experience of working with stakeholders at all levels and be proactive in completing a variety of tasks. You will have excellent communication skills and be confident in dealing with partners and staff across a variety of teams within the firm.

Key Responsibilities


  • Manage tender responses, both for public and private sector clients, including bid drafting
  • Maintain and update membership profiles on tender portals, the internal tender knowledge bank and tracking statistics on submission and win rates
  • Take a proactive role in driving the proposal process and develop strategic and tactical proposals, timelines and procedures to win new business
  • Facilitate meetings with team members to evaluate the business and client issues and help develop stakeholder engagement strategies from the beginning of the bid process
  • Attend and actively contribute to the kick-off strategy, status, follow-up/debrief, and presentation preparation meetings
  • Undertake general marketing and business development activities (e.g. events, social media, comms, PR and digital)




  • Previous bidding experience in both the public and private sectors is essential
  • Previous experience in a marketing role within professional services would be advantageous
  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign)
  • Educated to degree level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised and self-motivated
  • Proactive, diligent and methodical with excellent attention to detail

Contract Type:

Fixed-term, maternity cover for 12 months.



This role will be hybrid working allowing employees to work from home as well as in any one our offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh 2 days per week.
