Business Intelligence Analyst Team Leader

Millbrook Healthcare Group is a fast growing business and leading provider of Healthcare Service solutions including Wheelchair and Community Equipment Services. We work closely with the NHS and Social Care Organisations providing a complete outsourced service that significantly reduces costs, delivers better quality and an enhanced service user experience.

We are currently looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst Team Leader to join the team at our Head Office in Totton, Southampton. 

In this role you will typically work on a number of assignments simultaneously varying in scale, complexity & duration and will be required to define and document stakeholder requirements.

This is a 'full-lifecycle' role with possible involvement from business case development to operational review via requirements, design, development, testing, training and implementation.

The focus of the role is to design and deliver consistent and accurate management information including KPI dashboards on operational data. This will be delivered using our in-house patient administration and logistical systems in combination with various reporting tools.

As Team Leader you will be responsible for supervising, mentoring and motivating the reporting team. You will work closely with the IT Development Team, Operational Users and Project Stakeholders both internal and external.

The Role:

  • Review, study and understand current applications, systems, practices, procedures and habits to identify improvement suggestions for systems and processes
  • Provide business and technical leadership regarding information system developments
  • Create, review and implement processes and procedures to ensure alignment with changing business requirements
  • Create processes to develop proactive reporting and trend analysis to support development of insight models and continual Service Improvement Plans
  • Contribute to operational development as needed i.e. Facilitate UAT, operational SOP’s
  • Support the business with advanced knowledge of SQL server, Power BI & Crystal Reports
  • Develop and deliver training on analysis methodologies, process and toolset to other areas of the organisation
  • Set clear team goals and KPI’s for the team, overseeing their day to day operation and performance
  • Motivating the team, supporting training and providing coaching

About you: 

  • Degree qualified and\or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle
  • In depth knowledge of business modelling tools and techniques
  • Technical exposure\understanding including: Web based applications, SQL, Power BI, Team Foundation Server, Microsoft 365
  • Ability to create detailed documentation with an emphasis on development specifications
  • Experience of process analysis, assessment and change
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills including critical questioning and innovative thinking
  • Ability to communicate, engage and build relationships with users at all levels across the business
  • Ability to handle and progress across multiple work streams during periods of time
  • Previous experience of leading and coaching a team would be advantageous 
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare and social care market would be beneficial

What are we looking for?

  • Degree Qualified and/or demonstrable equivalent experience i.e. 3 + years in a similar role
  • Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, or equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Office 365
  • Knowledge of Power BI, including DAX
  • Ability to create detailed documentation with an emphasis on development specifications
  • SQL Server administration and MS SQL server BI stack would be beneficial
  • Previous experience in a Team Leader role would be advantageous
  • Exposure to project management methodologies is desirable
